Wounds in the foot can be from lacerations, burns, skin cancers and in some cases from underlying conditions such as diabetes. These can be of varying severity depending on size, depth, location and all need to be treated differently in order to heal properly and prevent infection.
Diabetic ulcerations are wounds that have difficulties healing and in some cases cannot heal on their own without proper care. Regular debridement which involves cleaning and restimulation of a wound bed, offloading with boots, casts or rollator scooters.
