Originally from Huntington, Dr. Marcin Romanczyk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University. He went on to receive his doctorate at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, completing his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, level I trauma center in the Bronx specializing in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery. During residency he did additional training in advanced internal fixation techniques through the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Osteosynthesis. Certified in Podiatric Medicine and a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine Dr. Romanczyk is well versed in all aspects of podiatry. He is also extensively trained in all facets of podiatric surgery and an associate of American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Romanczyk specializes in preventative diabetic foot care, diabetic wound care, traumatology and limb preservation surgery. Dr. Romanczyk is also well trained in all aspects of elective podiatric surgery such as hammertoe correction, bunion correction, cyst removal, and ingrown toe nail procedures in patients with special needs. His hospital affiliations currently include Mercy Medical Center and St. Barnabas hospital in the Bronx where he regularly takes call and trains residents in aspects of podiatric surgery.
Dr. Romanczyk’s comprehensive, thorough and up to date approach to podiatry ensures that he exhausts all conservative treatments before exploring surgery. He loves the relationships he forms with his patients and takes pride in serving the Island he grew up on. In his spare time Dr. Romanczyk is an outdoorsman who enjoys camping, hiking, spending time with his beautiful wife Cristina and fishing from the beaches of Long Island.
